Homemade Milk Bath That Will Make You Feel Amoozing
Milk baths are a wonderful way to relax and treat your body to some serious pampering. Milk contains vitamins A and D and lactic acid which help exfoliate and add a healthy glow to your skin. After a long soak in a milk bath you'll come out soft, smooth and moisturised.
But you don't need expensive products filled with chemicals, fake fragrances and harmful ingredients to enjoy the experience (and lets be honest, anything that is filled with chemicals, fake fragrances and harmful ingredients isn't exactly conducive to relaxing). Making your own milk bath product is so easy that you'll wonder why you ever bought a store-made one. Well actually you wont, you'll be too busy drifting into a state of milk-induced bliss but you get my point.
1 1/2 cups of powered organic milk (you can use cows or goats milk)
1/2 cup of cornstarch
10 drops of organic essential oil (Lavender is great for relaxing but use whatever you like best. Lemon adds a deliciously bright scent)
A handful of organic lavender flowers (optional)
In a bowl, combine the powdered milk and cornstarch together and then start to add in the drops of essential oil. Scatter the drops around so that you don't get big clumps and mix well. Add in the lavender flowers (or any other dried petals that you like) and tip the mixture in a water tight containter to store - an old jam jar is perfect.
When you want to relax, add around four tablespoons into your running bath water and get ready for truely natural soak. Bliss.
