Vote to protect the outdoor places you love!
The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics was recently chosen to participate in the Subaru 2012 “Share the Love” Event, and is in the running for $5 million in collective donations from Subaru. Till August 26, the Leave No Trace Center, along with five other charities, will compete for one of two remaining spots in the program by means of a Facebook voting contest. The two charities which receive the most votes on the event’s Facebook page, http://sharethelove.subaru.com/facebook, will ensure their selection in the Subaru “Share the Love” event. In short, there is at least $250k, and up to $5 million up for grabs among the 6 charities involved, and we still have an opportunity to quite literally rock the vote by spreading the word to as many folks as possible.
Knowing that we have a shared commitment to environmental conservation, we are asking for your support in this campaign to protect the outdoor places we love. Please vote for Leave No Trace at http://lnt.org/vote everyday till August 26 and post a link about this event on your Facebook page, website, blog and/or Twitter feed. We are up again some big charities, and spreading the word is vital to our position and winning the greatest number of votes. An award of this magnitude would go a long way towards helping us educate people about enjoying the outdoors responsibly and promoting environmental stewardship. Thank you for any help you can provide with getting the word out. Of course, we welcome any ideas and input from any and all of you. If you have any questions, please email us at SharetheLove@LNT.org.
