An adorable newborn panda cub is presented to the media on Sept. 5 at the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base in Sichuan, China. The panda cub — named 'San Er' — is the only survivor of triplets brought into the world by an 18-year-old giant panda at the facility.
The Chengdu staff aren't the only ones celebrating a bundle of joy. Last month, the Smithsonian National Zoo welcomed a baby female panda to its fold.
