I hate that people think that they have to knock down trees because they're in our way. The fact is, that we are in THEIR way. We are stopping them from growing in a beautiful, natural way.

I found this after doing a Google search for photos of animals and I'm pretty dismayed that: a. I took the time to read it and b. it's so horrifically misguided. None of these animals destructive or harmful to the earth in their original habitat. What's harmful is that they have been displaced by humans. I'm glad most of the people responding here realize that.

Humans ARE the worst thing to this planet. WE are the ones who are destroying it, and nothing else. You are truly an idiot if you do not realize this. Animals are not the ones burning fossil fuels like mad and releasing greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, in addition to logging natural forests to no end, which only adds the amount of CO2 in the air because there are less plants to absorb it. Logging of forests also destroys natural habitats for animals, which causes them to become endangered.... More

I wish I could rate this list 1 star because it is so infuriating that in your ignorance you perpetuate that humans think they know better than mother nature. It is a disturbingly inaccurate list that identifies amazing creatures that have a purpose on this earth as "pests" based on our limited understanding of their scientific contribution. The list should read THE ONE ANIMAL THAT IS DESTROYING THE ENVIRONMENT. How dare you condemn Elephants and Rats and all of these fine intelligent.... More

I've got to respond to this.. Who are we to judge that the small population of elephants left on this planet (no more than 25,000 down from over 3 million just 100 years ago) are BAD for the environment. WE've committed the equivalent of genocide on these spectacular animals and now we have the nerve to judge THEM as bad for the environment. Crazy. Elephants are not the cause of deforestation in Africa that is drought, wars, and a struggle for cheap fuel. Set the record straight. This is an.... More

Its up to each of us to do what we will do if our mind tells us to do it. If you feel humans are bad then you are bad. If you want make a good example of youself in whatever endeavor then do so but only for yourself please. I am sure I will do what I think is right without being forced to do so by you.

Too many of you are ranting over one another and not addressing the issue at hand. Spend a little more energy on positive change, go out and walk or pick up litter. Spend less time complaining about the problem when it all boils down to Humans, we are overpopulating the environment.

Blind resistance to believe logically sound, and scientifically valid information is the definition of environmental ignorance. It is easy for people who are misinformed, informationally lazy, and/or undereducated to take such ignorant stances on these issues. Most of the non-believer rhetoric in here turns down concepts like anthropogenic climate change, conservation and preservation on their faces. The numbers presented here may be debatable, but the concepts are not. The difference comes.... More

Ok I wanna be extremely clear on this, there is no debate going on between scientists about if the global warming is caused by humans, they all know it is caused by all of us, and the only reason some of the people believe it hasn't been proven yet is because the oil companies and government in charge don't want to lose the money they are getting so they pay a few scientist to say that we might not be the cause, but all the scientists AROUND THE WORLD ALL agree that WE ARE THE CAUSE. For those.... More

Global warming? A hoax and science proves it! Animals bad for env. even humans? We are part of the natural environment! We are the ultimate predator! Think about these 2 tidbits of info: 1. There was once an iceage, and it thawed without one suv or powerplant to warm the earth. 2. One volcanic eruption (like the one in Iceland) puts more cfc's and CO2 in the atmosphere than the industrialized world has in history combined. We are commanded to be good stuards of the earth, but let's all.... More

I think YOU need to wake up. Where are your references for these '10x scientists' that say global warming isn't real? Really, very humorous. Any reliable and educated scientist would say that global warming is VERY real, and is caused by nothing else but HUMANS. There's even a term for it, its called anthropogenic global warming, look it up and attempt to educate yourself. Your point that other events worse than what is going on now have occurred in this planet's history is true, but you.... More

Ok, ya we as people do tend to screw things up. Third law of physics backs up that truth. However, we are most certainly not the stupidest! I don't recall monkeys or birds astablishing a organized govermental system center around the free thinking individuals.

Humans are the only animals that deliberately destroy the home that they live in, the only home that we know is capable of supporting life. What is the point of having an organized structure if in a couple of hundred years sustainable life on planet Earth will be impossible, and as far as I know, Mars does not seem a pretty planet to live in.

Isn't it our governmental/religious systems that have through history screwed things up and continue to do so now? Monkeys and birds don't need a 'system', as we do, to make up for the lack of living in harmony with nature.

Hey, conservative idiot, at least TRY to educate yourself on the topic BEFORE you comment. Its very clear you dont have the SLIGHTEST idea what you are talking about, which shows how ignorant and idiotic you are. The Earth isn't warming due to humans you say? Oh really, then whats causing it? Let me guess, you're going to use the go-to excuse all conservatives use that 'the planet goes through cycles', am I right? Thought so. Disrupting nature's balance

Animals play an important role in keeping ecosystems balanced, healthy and strong. Just like humans, animals can respond to imbalance with extreme behavior that can be harmful to the environment. Here are 10 animals that can be bad for the Earth when nature's balance gets disrupted. (Text: Bryan Nelson)
