15 amazingly deceptive caterpillars

Though its common name implies otherwise, the inchworm is actually a caterpillar of the Geometridae family of moths. These caterpillars have fewer pairs of legs than other species, so in order to move they must inch along. In fact, the name "Geometridae" comes from the Greek word that means "earth-measurer."
