KBuck the miniature horse

After accidentally getting kicked by his mother, KBuck the miniature horse lost his eye — along with any hope of becoming a successful show horse. Doctors offered his owners a novel opportunity: Why not fit KBuck with a prosthetic eye?

"We thought he was going to end up being a backyard pet" instead of a show horse, said Kelsey Chumbley, 12, his primary handler. "When we found out he had a second chance I was really excited for him."

The eye does not help KBuck's vision, but it does help his chances as a show horse.
