Recovering from the cold
A green sea turtle is treated for cold stun on Jan. 8 at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center in Boca Raton, Fla. If the body temperature of a green turtle falls below 60 degrees, the turtle will become immobilized and may float to the water's surface where it could catch pneumonia or be unable to defend itself against predators.
