This creatures have been living for MILLIONS of years, yet they have undergone NO evolution. What's with that?? I'm beginning to question the evolution theory now. If evolution is correct then that mouse sure to have evolved. Same goes with the coelacanth. Maybe evolution is hoax after all.

It all did not start off with a "big bang!" Even if it did, who do you think started the big bang? God, of course! Man has been around for quite some time... no evolution here!

Ya, no evolution from homo erectus to cromagnon man to modern humans. There have been fossils found that trace man's evolution. Even recently, people have been getting taller. A couple hundred years ago, the average man was 5 foot 8

Did I just read that correctly? What came out of your head. Evolution means that species or new types of animals have been derived from other animals which existed before them. Therefore, any evolutionary changes that this species underwent over the last million years would more than likely be identified as a new species altogether. Please take time to look at new species which have been found over the last ten years. Constant evolution.

Hi there! So glad to see others talking about the Monito del Monte! These "living fossils" are truly one of the most spectacular creatures on this planet, just because of the evolutionary questions their existence raises. I have a site about the Monito del Monte myself, but I am always trying to find out more about these guys. The information around the web seems to be the same.... More

Monito del Monte

The Monito del Monte is a remarkable, diminutive marsupial believed to have been extinct for 11 million years until one was discovered in a thicket of Chilean bamboo in the southern Andes. The creature is more closely related to Australian marsupials than to other South American ones, and it is likely related to the earliest known Australian marsupial, which lived 55 million years ago.
