Cheetah cub naptime
Cheetah mother Amani watches over her brood of sleepy cubs on Jan. 20 inside their enclosure at the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C.
Male cheetah cubs stay with their mothers until they’re about 18 months old, and female cheetah cubs stick around until they are 2 or even 3 years old.
