Captive rhino romance may be last hope for the endangered species
Veterinarians in Malaysia want to introduce Puntung to Tam, a male Sumatran rhinoceros in the enclosure next door, in the hopes that they will breed.

ENDANGERED: Captive breeding is now regarded as the only way to boost the population of the two-horned Sumatran rhino, which at 1,100 to 1,322 pounds and 4.3 feet tall is the world's smallest rhinoceros. (Photo: Wikimedia Commons)
