Two cyclists were enjoying a ride to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa when they picked up a tail in the form of a fast-moving ostrich. The video was shot using a headcam worn by Oleksiy Mishchenko, and it shows the ostrich easily keeping up with the cyclists, who were speeding through the roads at around 31 mph. Mischenko said that he nearly fell off his bike because he was laughing at the bird as it chased his fellow cyclists.
Fans of the bird, more scientifically referred to as Struthio camelus, won't be surprised to see the flightless bird maintaining a steady pace as it trailed the cyclists. Ostriches can run up to 45 mph, which means the ostrich in this video wasn't even breaking a sweat.
