The Pacific Decadal Occilation has entered its Southern phase. All salmon runs that depend on ocean upwelling are affected by this. It runs about thirty years to a phase. Salmon runs in Alaska and northern Canada do poorly as southern Canada, Washington, Oregon, and California runs do well. Some salmon runs in Alaska have failed recently.
