For a decade Mr. G, a white goat, lived with a burro named Jellybean. However, their owner was a woman could barely care for herself, much less her animals, so they were confiscated.
Animal Place, a California animal sanctuary, took in Mr. G and another shelter accepted Jellybean. But the rescuers didn't know the depth of the unlikely pair's bond.
Mr. G refused to eat for days, and staff couldn't even tempt him with molasses and apples.
Nothing was physically wrong with him, and Animal Place soon realized he was simply heartbroken. So they arranged for Jellybean to come to Animal Place. This is their reunion.
