Beer in the bike lane
A Portland, Ore., brewery is using the power of the pedal to get its new bike bar around.

Photo: Elly Blue/Flickr The folks at Hopworks Urban Brewing have an idea to fight that -- a human-powered mobile beer bar.
They built a pedal-powered bar built on the frame of a cargo bike that comes complete with two kegs and a pizza storage compartment. They will be pedaling around the upcoming Oregon Manifest handmade bike show topped off with Bike Brew, a special batch made for the occasion.

Whoever came up with this idea = WIN! Move over, ice cream bikes!
I'm just curious, though: how will the "law" handle these bikes? I'm assuming that whoever wants to sell beer from a bike will need to pay through the nose to get some form of licenses(s). I also wonder what will happen to customers: will there be a police officer waiting a block away to arrest anyone for drinking in public?
With a little more personal liberties, these bikes could be absolutely epic.
