Winter is here and it seems like a good time to look at some of the insanely cold places where people actually live. The coldest temperature ever recorded was -128.6 °F in at the Russian research station in Vostok, Antarctica, on July 21, 1983. While none of these towns or cities gets quite that cold, some get frighteningly close to it. Here are seven of the coldest places in the world to live.
