This 2006 animated sequel has its prehistoric protagonists fleeing the melting ice that will flood their valley and bring premature (though inevitable) extinction. The story still resonates millions of years later because the planet’s remaining glaciers are disappearing at an alarming rate: If global warming trends continue as predicted, Glacier National Park will have no glaciers left by 2030.
