Everyone loves ice cream, right? And everyone wants to support our service men and women whenever they can, right? Well, this Veterans Day (November 11th) you can do both at the same time!
This donation is inclusive of all regular and
kids scoops sold in the cups and cones category, and also accounts for double
and triple scoop quantities. The donation is based on regular-priced cup and cones scoop sales only.
This is Baskin-Robbins’ way of saying thank you to our U.S. troops, military families and veterans.
“Baskin-Robbins’ connection with the military began 70 years ago with our founders, Burt Baskin and Irv Robbins, who both served in the military during World War II,” said Weldon Spangler, President, Baskin-Robbins U.S. and Canada. “We’re proud to honor their legacy through our Veterans Day partnership with the USO, which will allow us to make a donation to the organization for every scoop of ice cream sold in our U.S. restaurants in order to support their important mission.”
The USO lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families millions of times each year at hundreds of places worldwide. It provides a touch of home through centers at airports and military bases in the U.S. and abroad, top quality entertainment and innovative programs and services. The USO also provides critical support to those who need them the most, including forward-deployed troops, military families, wounded warriors, troops in transition and families of the fallen.
Assisting military personnel, their families and veterans is one of several ways Baskin-Robbins seeks to improve the neighborhoods it serves. The company also offers franchising incentives to qualified, honorably discharged U.S. military veterans interested in opening their own Baskin-Robbins shop, and maintains partnerships with organizations that support firefighters and public safety officers. Being able to donate to such a great
cause—all while eating ice cream—is a no brainer. Now the only question is
which of Baskin-Robbins’ 31 flavors will you choose?
