Rockaway can't seem to catch a break
Snow blows past debris and nonfunctioning streetlights during a nor’easter on Nov. 7 — less than two weeks after Hurricane Sandy devastated the Northeast — in the Rockaway neighborhood of Queens, New York City.
In some areas, the nor'easter brought howling winds of up to 70 mph, dumped up to a foot of snow and knocked out power to tens of thousands of homes — adding to the nearly 700,000 homes that have been without power since Sandy.
