I'm proud of my buddy Karl Burkart, a fellow MNN blogger and all around green media rockstar, for closing his bank account at Chase in protest of their financial backing of mountaintop removal mining.

 

 

Please take the Pledge to End Mountaintop Removal and do whatever you can to get the word out about this downright evil practice. Tell your friends on Facebook and Twitter, call the EPA and take real action, and/or donate to the cause. Or, if you have an account with Chase bank like Karl did, close it and move it to a small community bank.

 

Just do something. Mountains are not endless.
