Anyone who reads my work here on a regular basis probably has picked up on the fact that I'm not a big fan of coal, the enemy of mankind (see, there I go).
So of course I got a big kick out of the commercial the Coen Brothers ("Big Lebowski," "Fargo") made deriding the claims that coal can be "clean" (it can't, ever) for the Reality campaign.
Pure awesome.

Who cares. People need heat. People with little or no natural gas in the area, but lots of coal.....use coal.
China is bringing coal power plants online so fast that if every other nation began eliminating their caol plants, there will still be a net increase in coal usage over a period of a year or so.
Being fearful of CO2 (our natural exhalant) seems a bit extreme.
