The great green Twitter follow parade
Are you a green minded Twitterer? Leave your Twitter handle here in comments and follow everyone else doing the same. It's time to connect all the green Tweople!

On Friday I wrote a list of 10 green Twitters you should follow. My post got picked up and blasted out over the blogosphere and Twitterscape, bringing me and the people I listed a flood of new green followers.

Like I said in my post, the problem with writing lists like that is that there are WAY more than 10 great green Twitterers out there sharing the good green word. I could have written 10 other top 10 lists from the good folks I know and I'm sure there are another 10 times as many that I'm unaware of.

So I'm writing this post to give all the green Twitterers a chance to find and connect to one another. Here's how this will work...

If you are a green minded Twitterer, leave your Twitter handle in comments and then follow all the other people who do the same. If we can get this out wide enough to all the eco-minded Tweople, we can firm up our connections to one another and come out a stronger, more followed mass of greenies. Knowledge and connections are power and the more networked we are the better able to blast out the message that the environment needs to be a consideration in our headlong rush towards the future.

I'll start it off here with a few great people that I missed from my list on Friday.

I guess I should begin with myself, if you missed grabbing a follow on me, you can catch up @sheagunther.

Then add the MNN crew:
@mothernaturenet (MNN's main Twitter feed)
@mommymellie (Business blogger Melissa Hincha-Ownby)
@thegreenparent (Family blogger Jenn Savedge)
@greenlagirl (Lifestyle blogger Siel Ju)
@jmotavalli (Transportation blogger Jim Motavalli)
@rshreeves (Food blogger Robin Schreeves)
@greendig (Technology blogger Karl Burkart)
@mattyhick (Home blogger Matt Hickman)
@farmer_d (Organic farmer extraordinaire Daron Joffe)
@theweeklyplanet (MNN student blogger Zak Sawyer)

And here are a few of my green pals that I missed on Friday:

@jsdavis82
@seandaily
@tracystokes
@christackett
@starfocus
@ecoaussie
@ecogeek
@oliviazaleski
@socialpyramid
@lighterfootstep
@davidconnell
@ecochickie
@ecorattle
@vegdaily

And to save you a click, here are the 10 great green Twitterers I highlighted last week:

@twilightearth
@ecorazzi
@greensmith
@elephantjournal
@greengirls
@derekmarkham
@thegoodhuman
@greenbiztweets
@treehugger
@maxgladwell

OK, your turn. If you're a green minded Twitterer, leave your Twitter URL (like so- http://twitter.com/sheagunther) in a comment here (leave it in the comment field, not the headline) and follow everyone else who does the same. Check back a few times this week and pick up all the late comers to the eco Tweet party.

Retweet this article, share it on Facebook, submit it to Digg, Stumble it, Reddit it, email it to your green pals, and shout it around the office.Let's get connected!

(Big props to Jeremiah Owyang, a Twittter rock star (@jowyang) and web strategist, for the inspiration for this post. He did the same thing a year or so back for social media types and it turned into a feeding frenzy of following. You should add him to your follow list, he's a smart dude.)

Are you on Twitter? Follow me (@sheagunther) there, I give good tweets.

And if you really like my writing, you can join my Facebook page.
