Happy #EcoMonday!

Mashable, one of the most popular social media sites on the web, just released a list of "75+ Environmentalists to Follow on Twitter". Writer Cameron Chapman was kind enough to include me on the list and I saw a lot of pals there.

Today is #EcoMonday on Twitter -- at the start of every work week people share green Twitterers that their friends should follow. By including the hashtag "#EcoMonday", it allows others to easily find eco-minded people to follow. It was started when my friends at Max Gladwell proposed it a week before MNN's Great Green Twitter Follow Parade. The Parade provided the perfect launching ground and a Twitter meme was born. The whole story can be found over at Max Gladwell.

Typically #EcoMonday lives on exclusively on Twitter, but I'll draw it into a blog post and share some of my green pals that made Mashable's list. You should follow these fine folks.

@Ecopolitologist is Tim Hurst, a writer and editor at Green Options and Ecopolitology. We haven't actually met, but I'm a big fan of his work.

@GreenLAgirl is MNN's own Siel Ju. I've been reading her blog for years and have always appreciated her coverage of the green happenings of L.A. and the world at large.

@GreenSkeptic Scott Edward Anderson is another green guy who I've been reading for years.

@Jejacquot is Jeremy Jacquot, a writer for Treehugger, DeSmogBlog and Discover Magazine. He's smart and savvy and writes a mean blog post.

@kgrandia is Kevin Grandia, managing editor of DeSmogBlog.com and the genius behind Coal-is-clean.com and Coal-is-dirty.com. Kevin is one of my green blogger heros.

@OliviaZaleski is Olivia Zaleski, host of CNN and Fortune's Business of Green TV series. She lives in NYC and is the young, smart, hot, green Martha Stewart. I have a not-very-secret crush on Olivia. Shhh, don't tell her..... :D

@sroakes is Summer Rayne Oakes, a model, environmental activist, entrepreneur and entomologist (bug scientist). She's smart, sexy, green, and she likes bugs!

@StarFocus is Danielle Brigida, the social media ninja at the National Wildlife Federation. I've been friends with Danielle for a long time now and I've always been impressed with her. She's mega awesome (and her dad is a rock star).

@TheGoodHuman is David, another green blogger who I've been reading for a long time. He's a great writer and has a must-subscribe Twitterfeed.

There are a ton of other great green Twitterers who didn't make Mashable's list. Swing over to MNN's Great Green Twitter Follow Parade and check out the Follow List for @EcoMonday (they only follow people recommended on #EcoMonday) to find even more green Twitterers.

Happy Twittering!

And follow @MotherNatureNet for lots of MNN goodness!
