You should all check out the documentary THRIVE: What on Earth Will it Take? (you can watch it for free at: www.thrivemovement.com/the_movie) It's full of very important information about the suppression of clean, free energy technology. Also their website is a treasure trove of information on this subject. It's worth checking out! .... More

Amongst the sources of unconventional energy I think physical power of human can be considered as the most available and polution free source of energy. In the developing countries average daily income of a Rickshaw paddler is less than one US dollar. That power of this Rickshaw paddler can be used to move one wheel to produce electricity.Collectively this type of electricity will solve the requirement of huge electricity.

Heat and matter are the infinite state of energy. Heat is kinetic energy of the molecules that make up matter and also behaves as a superfluid which is recyclable. Strangely enough, energy can be obtained directly just by recycling the heat. I know how to do it.

Although most of them are fascinating but I still believe that wind is efficient, cost effective reliable and most of all simple.

There are a couple more interesting and potentially viable energy generation sources. First there's Minesto.com which shows an undersea turbine idea. Then there is Magenn in Canada with their really cool balloon generators: http://organicconnectmag.com/wp/2009/12/from-war-machine-to-clean-energy/

Unconventional energy

Sure, you've heard of wind and solar power, biofuels, hydroelectric, tidal and wave power, but Mother Nature provides an endless bounty of alternative energy sources beyond those that we use today. Clean, green energy is all around us in the natural world, and scientists have only begun to answer the question of how to tap it. Here's a list of 10 practical sources of alternative energy you've probably never heard of. (Text: Bryan Nelson)
