How much does solar cost? Infographic
Plenty of homeowners have asked this question, but it can be a difficult one to answer. One Block off the Grid took the estimates of more than 45,000 homeowners and came up with this graphic.

A place like Arizona should be #1 on each of those lists, but for some reason, it just isn't, thanks in part to the cost to implement here...

So what? It costs alot to make energy. To add additional power lines. To mine coal. To repair the damage caused by emissions. And most of these aren't calculated or included for the long tail of external costs. So we can calculate the non-external costs and Solar is high - that doesn't matter to the end user. But they do know the external costs are far, far lower than other energy sources. And Solar's peak production for electricity matches peak usage in the US. That means solar displaces the
.... More
most expensive electricity used, not the least.

"... But they do know the external costs are far, far lower..."

Really?!? Far far lower? like maybe in a place far far away where unicorns prance with pixies? You nor anyone knows the true energy cost to manufacture and install solar and we don't know how long these panels will last but I'm sure of one thing, the average life span is going to be no where as long as these pie in the sky claims made by our forever naive government go for nothings.
