Based on one 150 watt bulb this equals one and a half cents per hr. or $0.15 a day, do the math as it would take roughly 16.5 yrs to pay for in savings from just one 150 watt bulb or tv. Without battery storage (probably an option to purchase) the system will not work at night or cloudy days. Add the cost of battery storage and expect saving to take well over 25 years to pay for.... Posted By Jim - Tue, Jan 19 2010 at 4:46 PM ESTWe always think of money first when it comes to sustainability, or at least the negative people do, and then go down and actually thank the local Starbucks for charging them $5 for a cup of coffee that is loaded with sugar.
We spent plenty to kill what's left of the earth. Why not spend some now so our grandchildren don't have to spend even more if it's not to late by then.
