Fracking has been going on for 150 years!
Coal is the primary source of electrical power in North America. I want to see the specific citation of any study that suggests the combustion of all natural gas delivered to the burner tip plus all accidentally released volumes of natural gas in North America has a CO2 equivalent that is greater than that released by the extraction and combustion of coal. Natural gas producer or pipeline transporters that accidentally released sufficient natural gas to make this claim true would be out of.... More

Obviously, you have not taken the time to link your claims correctly. First, there is not one proven case of hydraulic fracturing linked to groundwater contamination in the US - try researching that through LexisNexis and you won't find a single case. Second, hydraulic fracturing has been used across the world in millions of wells since 1949 with success. Finally, pesticides contaminate drinking water more than hydraulic fracturing ever will. I can't say that all operators have an unblemished.... More
I forgot to mention that the mixture used in hydraulic fracturing is 99% water and sand with 1% being composed of chemicals you would find under the household sink!
