Just a reminder, Monday is the day of the big protest in Washinton, DC against coal, the enemy of mankind, that I wrote about last week.

Capital Climate Action is calling for thousands of Americans to descend on Washington, DC on Monday to protest against coal, the largest cause of global warming and the reason we are tearing down entire mountain ranges in the Appalachians. CCA will peacefully blockade and disrupt operations at the Capital Power Plant, a 99-year-old coal-burning facility that currently heats and cools the U.S. Capitol.

Here's top climate scientist James Hansen giving the rundown of the event.

If you're near Washington, DC this weekend or have the ability to get there, consider lending your voice and body to the protest. Bill McKibben will be there and expects to spend Monday in a jail cell.

Down with coal.
