Minnesotan Congresswoman turns treasonous over carbon tax
Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has called for armed insurrection in response to President Obama's proposed emissions tax.
Photo credit: The Original Jeff Martin I don't say this lightly, this is a term that was thrown around WAY too loosely during the Bush Administration, but Michele Bachmann is downright un-American.
Mrs. Bachmannn popped up on a lot of peoples radar when she called on the press to investigate members of congress (mainly the liberal ones, including now-President Obama) for anti-Americanism back in the later stages of the '08 Presidential campaign. She's a big fan of "intelligent" design, tried to repeal the nationwide phase-out of incandescent bulbs, and has never met a shelf she didn't want to drill. She's homophobic, xenophobic, and managed to outdo herself recently by calling herself a "foreign correspondent on enemy lines". The enemies being Democrats, "behind enemy lines" being our nations capital, Washington, DC.
To top it all off, she wants people "armed and dangerous" over President Obama's proposed energy tax.

Soak that in- a U.S. Congresswoman has called for armed insurrection against the government in opposition to a tax on pollution.
Treason is defined as "a citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the parent nation". Mrs. Bachmann wants her constituents to be ready to wage war on the government. Michele Bachmann is the textbook definition of a traitor.
It's shameful. Minnesota, no America, needs to dump Michele Bachmann.

the issue is columnist responding to issues they do not research them selves. they talk about her emotionally and one can tell they never checked the fact into their allegations. if a ugly come into a store and say look out a pane is goin to crash i bet the writer would tell us it wont based on how the person looks. not becuase she look outside and seen it was clear

Come on. Listen to the sound bite all the way through and it is obvious she doesn't mean armed and dangerous in a literal sense. The irony is in the choice any educated, moral person "armed" with the facts would make. I disagree with her politics, but who needs this sensationalism when we have facts, common sense and a green tide of national political will flowing to our side. Glen Beck spent an entire show wargaming what an uprising from the right would look like. The extreme right has had no problem with using bellicose language and have rattled their guns more than once since Obama took won in November. If there is ever an armed uprising in this country, it'll be lead by people like Mrs. Bachmann. Let's hope she chooses to lead from the front.
I really think opposition to a carbon tax is justified. However, I don't think violent protest against it is helpful. Martin Luther showed how peaceful protest can work positively.
Carbon tax isn't justified because:
1. There is not solid evidence that humans are causing the Earth to heat. It is circumstantial evidence, and there is also evidence against it. We should act on facts and not theories.

That's really enough said. But this should be floated on top of all the other news, as trivial as it is, so we can expose the traitorous undercurrent of the Republican-- 'scuse me, the Limbaugh Party.
