Al Gore rant: Why the climate debate is heating up
With a vulgar tirade against climate skeptics, Gore has come roaring back into the global warming debate — which he says has been 'polluted' by 'bulls**t.'

Jesus christ, since when are ******* & ******** the worst frickin words in the english language: haven't any of you seen any movies in recent years? Written WTF in a text? This is just misdirection. Climate change has the solid confidence of the scientific community, as much as possible in a community of professional skeptics. The money has always been in the deniers' camp, as they've undermined government involvement in IPCC and blanketed the media with... how shall I put this... .... More
Wow, the general direction of view points below is very sad. It shows the complete inability of those who wish to push away climate change's seriousness to use any sound logic or reasoning for not "believing in it". All of it is based around weak half-facts and sound bites churned out by think tanks as public relations to muddy the waters of discussion. The attacks (some somewhat fair about Al Gore's character) show that there is no substance behind most of the "deniers" claims and all they.... More
Agreed. The vehemence below is caused by the fear that change instills in most, but especially the insecure. Does our cultures' turn away from the scientific method towards dogma foreshadow a second Dark Age? Do you have faith in a culture of "Me?"
This is the same Al Gore who, along with his wife Tipper, led the charge railing against profanity in the media back in the 90's. Hypocrisy? A self-serving agenda? Back then as well as now, you be the judge. I would argue that since Al Gore claims to have a list of names that are conspiring to marginalize the climate debate, the same names that the tobacco industry used, then show us that list of names Al. This charlatan needs to be called out. The first time I ever heard of global.... More
I happen to get my science from a very reliable source--Fox News--and I believe for a fact that Gore is a total liar. It is not any warmer this year than it was last year or five years ago.
I have to ask, are you really being serious here or is that tongue in cheek humor. Come on...Fox News. Its pointless to even say it but if you seriously think FoxNews is on the level then our problems on this planet are getting a lot worse. Hoepfully you are playing around and being sarcastic.
Al Gore should be advocating safe recycling of 100% of all garbage, sludge and junk, and peacefully reducing the human population with gentle family planning programs that give each woman the legally protected right to decide if and when to conceive and birth her children. Very few women want 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 children, more want none at all, but the vast majority want no more then 1, 2 or 3.
So, why is Mr. Gore injecting profanity into the environmental debate? Is he deliberately giving.... More
This tirade from Mr. Gore is evidence of the fallacy of his position on Global Warming. When you move to the profanity and accusations, you have no facts. Mr. Gore has none. Thus this latest outburst. What a scary thought that he was almost elected president. Even scarier is that Mr. Obama has been.
No, it does NOT prove ANY fallacy, let alone of his entire position. His behavior was terrible, and I condemn it, but I don't make the false link you make. And what does is run for the Presidency have to do with global warming anyway? Ditto that President Obama is President? So what? Enjoying a lunchtime troll?
Gore is a fool. If he thinks something is bullsh*t, then it's probably correct. The guy's a complete moron. Now he's getting cranky only because he sees more people are realising the climate change thing is nothing but a fraud. Maybe he sees his gravy train coming to a halt, or maybe it is dawning on him that he has been wrong all this time and he can't deal with it.
I wouldn't buy waterfront property or property in places like South Florida. I'm investing in companies that will profit from global warming. Al Gore is telling us truth we don't want to know. Makes me remember my doctor wife telling her father smoking was bad for him.....he never stopped and it killed him.
Al Gore, the guy who's running a 4-5 figure electric bill every month in a multimillion dollar mansion wants you to send him more money or else the great boogyman is going to get you.
Reminds me of television evangelists. "Send me money or God is going to kill me".
At least he's convinced himself!!
Plus --- Al's BS probably adds more to so called *global warming* than *bull $hitt*
I think there is a verb for that.
Is the world's climate warming up. Of course it is. Is it the result of industrialization? Is it the result of Al Gore's private jet and fleet of SUV's? Of course not. History shows, and it is documented, that the Earth has, and continues to go through climate warming and cooling cycles. All Al Gore and his left wing lunatic conspirators want to do is to further regulate (tax) private industry. Much of the pollution that is being created is coming from India and China, two countries which are.... More
So you say this is all natural but then acknowledge that China and India are responsible for a great deal of the pollution causing the problem...interesting. Not surprising but interesting and very telling. Folks, this is not about what we want to believe but what we must believe. When we started using oil and coal we had no idea that the Co2 they store helped maintain a balance in our atmosphere. Now we do. We have come a long way and we owe a lot of that to fossil fuels. However, we now.... More
You ignore the fact that earth has an amazing ability to compensate for variations in its climate/atmosphere. Earth will seek, find and adjust to its ideal equilibrium. Before gas and oil, we burned coal and wood. Coal and wood liberate as much CO2 as does gas and oil, plus both burn a lot dirtier than gas or oil. We have come a long way in cleaning up our atmosphere over the past 50 years, the air is much cleaner now, clean in large part because of the gas and oil we burn.
Yes, you are correct, the earth does equalize and find a balance, which is where we were with Co2 locked up in coal and oil. You are correct that we used to burn coal and wood and that they release Co2. But to suggest that it is the same as today's situation is, well, to be polite I will say it seems you have thought out your point very well. It is about as dumb as Bachmann saying that Co2 is natural so can't be bad. The same argument can be made for sulphuric acid which occurs naturally in.... More
And to think this Scammer almost won a presidential election.
He did win.
Natural cycles still have a cause. You might at least consider industrialization as a possibility instead of arguement by character assasination of a spokesperson.
Fact is that global warming a cooling cycles are NORMAL.. that is just as much a fact as anything Gore and his cronies have asserted as it relates to "causes" of global warming... There are several questions that need to be answered.. like: should every living carbon based being be TAXED, in many cases heavily taxed, for their carbon foot print? Who gets the money and why? Who decides where that money goes? What exactly do they think they are going to do about global warming? Can they.... More
Al. What's Bulls*it is the lie you've been promoting about global warming.
"They pay psudeo scientists to PRETEND to be scientists, they..."
Don't you just love it when people finally see through the scam and the libs inevitably accuse others of doing what they themselves have been doing with fraudulent research, paid peer groups and systematic exclusion of real scientists and NASA. I don't know why I laugh so hard when they do it but it just never seem to get old...
This halfwit should first lean not to stop his feet lije a baby and then maybe people might think he is somewhat bright. Second he got dumped by his wife and he's lost his millions do to bad investments in windmils and grean energies because they are to costly do to unions and goverment. We need to let the free market make these produces.
Windmills=wind turbines. We don't invest billions to make bread. Or maybe we do, but subsidies to big agriculture is a different matter.
At least he can spell and put together a coherent sentence, and use proper English, unlike you.
Translation of your pathetic attempt at communication: lean="learn", do="due", windmils="windmills", "grean" is not a word, perhaps you were attempting to spell "green. Lije="like"."
produces= "products", perhaps?
Who looks like the half-wit now? More like a.... More
This Bozo has made investments that have turned south. In order for their $million global warming grants to continue, they have to make their bogus research come out on that side. Follow the $money.
I'm sure you're correct. He's a drunken crybaby. Heart attack waiting to happen.
Al Gore is a tyrant, like Obama, Bush, and Clinton
Global warming is another way for them to scare and control us. "Winner of the Nobel Prize". Fitting. After Obama won the Nobel PEACE Prize, he started or continued 5 wars.
The best thing for humanity would be if Al Gore and the Nobel Prize committee just collapsed into themselves, like a black hole.
Carbon footprint? If I WANT TO EAT STEAK AND DRIVE AN 8 CYLINDER CAR, SO BE IT. Don't tell me how to live MY LIFE. Al.... More
So you don't want people to tell you how to live. I understand. But I would suspect (could be mistaken) that you are against abortion and I am sure you also don' think it is a good idea that people can enter someone else house and take what ever you want. Nor would I suspect you would like it if GE or some company started storing open pools of toxic waste behind your house on their own property. I agree, I love Ayn Rand and she makes valid points about freedom and the human right to live.... More
I won't, MC -- as long as you keep your smelly smoke and pollution in your OWN yard, not mine.
And I want a Gulfstream and a Cigarette racing boat -- that both are fueled by algae oil. ... no fossil fuels there! Gore is such a hypocrite no wonder Tipper left him.
If this was so important seems like he would have built a house with less of a carbon footprint and live a life with less of a carbon footprint. His true mark on this earth will be his large carbon footprint while preaching about the evils of man-made carbon. At last check was still less than ½ of 1% of our atmosphere.
Acually, co2 is only 390 parts per MILLION, with about 8% of that anthropogenic, or man-made, co2.
Acually, co2 is only 390 parts per MILLION, with about 8% of that anthropogenic, or man-made, co2.
Agreed George! And look where Al built his latest multi-million dollar mansion: on the beaches of Malibu which he has said in the past will soon disappear into the Pacific Ocean! Is he truly that stupid? Or does he just think WE are that stupid?? What a nimrod. I'm SO glad that the global warming bunch has this guy as their spokesperson. Too Funny!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I thought I heard the last of Gore's nonsense. His green, mutli-billion dollar control scheme has been exposed. If at first you don't succeed....
Interesting example (bobby) of the ad hominim fallacy of arguing a point.
Thank you Mr Gore for being blunt and getting the attention of those that need it the most, the corrupt lobby and funders of the misinformation and denial campaign. I do not think you went "over the top" and I am too upset and outraged by what has happened to the Global Warming issue and the lack of concern and action.
This i all for short term profits at the harm of the planet.
Please keep speaking out and alerting those that need to exposed.
HERE HERE!!!!
You sound like you need a hug.. You should go out side and hug a tree right now, after all tree's are people too, right?..
No they aren't and I am not aware of anyone except a few fringe kooks who think they could be. But just because they are not people ( not really sure why their humanity or lack there of is really a requisite here or subject to your scorn) doesn't mean that they should not be accorded a certain degree of importance in the role they play in the natural world. What is the point of destruction for no reason? Acting as if someone who (ironically for their own self-interest) does not want trees.... More
I would think Kleiner Perkins would be embarrassed to be associated with this jerk.
He sounded like he was drunk.
Mr Gore's pro-Union mother, remember his lullaby was "...look for the union label!" before the jingle was written, should wash the ex-VP's mouth out with soap. But he is right about the substance he is spewing.
Oh, for stupid. The use of such explitives shows the true scope of knowledge of this immature man.
