The most telling quote I ever heard on the subject of "fake" lunar landings was by some latter-day hippy who said "You could take me there and show me, and I still wouldn't believe you." Don't waste your breath arguing with the fanatics.

In twenty years they'll be telling us that there were no space shuttles, and that the ISS was parked by aliens to spy on us!

If you're old enough, you would know Man certainly has been on the moon. Why is it we haven't been back? What's there is really nothing , other than some minerals etc. which hasn't been a viable project to harvest anytime then or anytime soon. Not the only the Russians, but many other countries would would have yelled "foul" if it had been faked in even the slightest way. There is plenty of evidence we've been there and done that,as mentioned by the above post of mirrors on the moon.Research it,.... If you've got a telescope and enough scientific background, you can aim a small laser at a mirror on the moon, hit it and measure the reflection at certain times.  We certainly put that there.  It was clear to the Soviet Union that communications was going on between the Earth and our spaceships orbiting the Moonin the 70's and they could have probably extracted tell-tale signs if they were recordings.

The magnificent moon

The moon has been a source of wonder and mystery ever since the first cave dwellers turned their eyes to the glowing orb in the night sky. But for the past 50 years, we have been able to explore our planet's only natural satellite as never before. From the Soviet's first flyby of the moon in 1959 to the future missions of exploration, we now understand the moon perhaps better than any other celestial body. The Galileo spacecraft sent back images of the moon on its way to Jupiter in 1992, and this is a colored-enhanced composite of those images. (Text: Katherine Butler)
