Apollo 11 launch

On 9:32 a.m. on July 16, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, Jr. lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center.

Apollo 11 was the first mission to land people on the moon, allowing Armstrong to be the first person to set foot on its surface. His iconic words are etched in history: "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
