An enigmatic star cloud
Pictured here is the nebula IRAS 05437+2302 as captured by the Hubble telescope. This nebula has been studied in different variations by NASA since 1983. One of the mysterious aspects of the image is the glowing, inverted V-shape towards the center. "One hypothesis holds that the glowing arc was created by a massive star that somehow attained a high velocity and has now left the nebula," writes NASA. Nevertheless, this misty, mountain-like structure remains a mystery to NASA.
