The cosmos shows its hand
This image, which comes from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory, shows a "very young and powerful pulsar known as PSR B1509-58, or B1509 for short." A pulsar happens when a massive dying star explodes into a supernova. The central part of the star collapses under gravity, creating the neutron. When this neutron rotates rapidly, it is called a pulsar, which can create interesting structures in space. So what is causing this hand-like structure to appear as if it were reaching into the heart of the universe? According to Space.com, this structure "was created by energy emanating from the nebula around the dying star PSR B1509-58."
