Unraveling the rings

NASA color-simulated these images of Saturn's rings to best illustrate their differences. Color is used to represent information about ring particle sizes in different regions based on the measured effects of radio signals, according to NASA. Saturn boasts the most extensive ring system in our solar system. This image best shows how the particles, made up almost entirely of water ice, vary in size and shape.
