Hubble maps of Pluto show surface changes
These images from the Hubble Space Telescope, show the different seasonal changes of Pluto. Pluto's surface is believed to be white, black and dark orange. Its colors are thought to come from the sun breaking up methane on the dwarf planet's surface. Until the New Horizons spacecraft arrives at Pluto in 2015, these are the most detailed images of the dwarf planet's surface.
