Crab nebula
The crab nebula is located within the constellation Taurus. It is believed to be the remains of a giant supernova that was recorded by Chinese and Arab astronomers in the year AD 1054. The nebula emits pulses of gamma and radio waves and is expanding at a rate of about 1,500 kilometers per second.
