Pac-Man fever?

The moon crosses over a portion of the sun during a partial solar eclipse on Feb. 21, bringing to mind the 1980s video game sensation.

This image was captured on Feb. 21 by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO), which is currently orbiting 22,000 miles above the surface of the Earth. The spacecraft, launched in February 2010, is part of a research mission to study our sun and the effects it has on people living on Earth.

The next partial solar eclipse will occur on May 20 for skywatchers located in Asia, the Pacific and western North America.
