Each spring, thousands of people head off to hike the Appalachian Trail
— a 2,175 mile hiking trail
that stretches from Georgia to Maine. Four months ago, Vine user
Isaiah Cooper was one of those thousand. But what set his journey apart from the others was that he decided to entertain the web with his travels by posting Vines — short movie snippets of the scenery, wildlife and trail culture along the way.
It didn't take long before Cooper's journey made big rounds on Vine
and other social network sites. He gained almost 45,000 followers in the past month and rewards his followers not only with interesting Vines, but also by answering questions and sending postcards to his fans along the way.
