Professional mountain bike rider Evan van Spuy of Team Jeep South Africa was on the receiving end of a brutal bit of chance during the Time Freight Express MTB race at Albert Falls Dam, in South Africa when a Red Hartebeest came out of nowhere and plowed him off his bike and into the ground. I love the bit at the end about how that's why wearing a helmet is important— to protect your head after getting run over by a Red Hartebeest. I know that's why I always ride with a helmet. :D
