This video made my stomach turn. Comparing nasty household chemicals to violating, humiliating leering minimizes the very real experiences of women. As much as I agree with the general idea, the ad was degrading to the very people most likely to buy these products.

There are all kinds of leftover chemicals in our environment. Look at the toxic waste produced by the mining and burning of coal. Big Coal has been working hard to cover up the facts. My colleagues -- Clair Jones of Utah Chapter Sierra Club, and Emily Fehrenbacher of Alaska , as well as many dedicated others, have been working diligently to get the NoBassCoal Campaign off the ground here in Utah . Horrible.
This ad trivializes sexual assault, harassment, and the like. It is inevitably triggering for many survivors of these kinds of attacks. It implies that if a woman makes the wrong "choice" of using chemical-laden cleaners, she will be punished and demeaned, and deserve it. This is called victim-blaming, folks.
Thank god this was taken down from their website.
Epic Fail.
