Taking in the quiet countryside of this small but popular island

Inishmor, or Inis Mór, is the tourist destination for people visiting the Aran Islands as it has a large number of ancient Christian and pre-Christian sites to explore. There are bed and breakfast houses located all around the island, and a visitor can get around via bike, horse-drawn carriage, or private bus. Of course, since the island is only about 12 square miles, one can walk from place to place easily enough and take in the countryside slowly. Plus, it gives you a chance to say hello to the adorable cows grazing in the patchwork fields.
