Redwood National and State ParksRedwood National and State Parks is home to the iconic redwood, the tallest tree in the world. Believe it or not, this area was once a logging mecca, and by the 1960s, logging had consumed nearly 90 percent of all the original redwoods. Today, the park protects about 45 percent of the world's remaining redwoods in addition to indigenous plants and animals.
