Northridge earthquake is NOT what damaged San Francisco.... hello?? Loma Prieta earthquake of Oct 1989 did that. Northridge earthquake did damage in SOUTHERN California.

!!! Oh, my. This is a photo of damage in San Francisco from the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. The Northridge Quake was in LA--you know, Southern California--and did not, of course, damage San Francisco. Anyone there to correct this egregious and silly error?
The coloring makes it really scarier than it seems I think.

Of all of our planet’s events, earthquakes are among its most discreet. (Though the results are not, as shown in this image of damage in San Francisco caused by the Northridge, Calif., quake of 1994.)
Despite incredible advances in seismic technology, experts are still unable to provide any significant warning of an earthquake’s impending arrival.
