Working some magic

Illusionist David Blaine raises money for Red Cross quake relief on Jan. 15, part of a 72-hour Magic Marathon in Times Square in New York City. The illusionist will do his signature sleight-of-hand tricks round the clock near the Army recruiting station at 43rd Street. According the New York Daily News, Blaine says he spent 10 inspiring days in Haiti in 1999 and feels compelled to do what he can to help. "People can give me a penny or $100 — whatever they want," he said.
