I am so glad that these guys may get a second chance. Even this opportunity for people to see them and find some awe in the diversity of species on our planet is really something. It would be a loss to the world to never have the opportunity to learn what we can of what each of these amazing creatures can show and teach us.

I'm not quite sure what your questions is. If you're looking for a lesson in photography, I cannot help you there. I am an anthropologist, proficient in both the cultural and the evolutionary (or biological) fields, not a photographer. You might want to direct your photography questions to a different forum. By the way, that would be Ms. Smarty Pants please. Let's stay away from the patriarchal view that because one is well-informed in scientifically related topics, one must be male..... More

There are approximately 6.7 billion humans existing on this planet right now. A number that has so far doubled every 50 years. According to Jane Goodall (Scientist and Primetologist) there are approximately 1,300-1,700 species of animals in danger of extinction. The amount of endangered primates, including chimps, orangutans, gorillas left on this planet might just barely fill one football stadium.
Though extinctions of species have occured in the past due environmental causes,.... More

I realize that the headline for this article has somewhat of a religious connotation, but how did we stray so drastically from formerly extinct animals to a full on religious argument?
Put all of your differences aside for the briefest of moments to realize that this article isn't about your beliefs and personal views, but about attempting to raise awareness towards animals that (due to mostly extreme human impact) were thought to no longer exist in our world. We should be realizing the.... More

The only true path to salvation lies in following the Ori and the teachings of Origin. He will grant eternal life to all who follow the path.

Those who do not will face eternal damnation.

I will pray for you, my friend! You know, I use to think like that and was too blind to see, but you have to know that those are the words of the enemy. & You have to overcome that, sweetie! & to let you know, I am died to this world, but was reborn with the Blood of Jesus! Now I am living and it feels amazing! So you have to know that the evil things you are saying are not affecting me at all. How, you ask? Well, because my Faith is extremely strong! It might seem that way to you, but truthfully I already died and now living the way God meant for us to live. I am reborn with the Blood of Jesus and now I am a new creature..... You know it is really sad that you feel like this. Although it hurts me so much how the enemy has blind, I did my job warning the misguided, but I will continue pray for you, my friend. Everything this world has to offer? Like what? Hangovers? Dope addiction? Unwarranted pregnancy? Broken relationships? Emotional and psyhoclogical wounds? Fraud and theft? Your personal gratification which the majority of the time is vain, selifsh and self destructive? But as long as you "feel good" that justifies it or as long as i do it just to myself? Wow how despicable. The majority of human behavior is due to deficiencies such as a substantial number of the things you might descrive as.... More

Okay, I believe in God, but you sound like an idiot. Why the hell did you post your original comment in this? It's about extinct animals. And I agree with some of the other person's comments, you seem to be in an uncomfortable hurry to die. To get back to the actual prmise of this article, I think it's wonderful that these animals were able to survive despite man's vigorous attempts to destroy them.

There is a difference of believing in God and having a relationship with Him, my brother. I was led by God's Holy Spirit that lives in me to do so, to answer your question. He gave me the gift so i am going to use it to spread His Word. Who are you to go against His Work when I have God with me? I will pray for you so you can understand! :DD

I never said I didn't have a relationship with Him. Do not assume things about me. Please don't pray for me. I don't want the annoyancy that is you to muck up my relationship with Him.
I'm ending this conversation now, because it has no relevance to this article. As your original comment did not.

What is your problem that you can't treat others as you would treat yourselves............It really does not matter if you talk about GOD or animals..........look through the stuff if you are looking for animals............What is the REAL problem with you????? They're practically dinosaurs, I think it's so amazing that these species came back! btw, if you enjoyed this mnn had an article about hybrids that's real interesting...less arguing there too lol

Yes the world will end 2012 because the Spanish conquistadors came over in massive wooden ships, waged an all out war on the Mayans who wore almost nothing using fire arms and body armor and indigenous mercenaries causing the mathematical and scientific calculations of the Mayan nation to come to a grinding halt on a particular day…history backs me up….what about your idea of the world ending 2012???

Rediscovered species

They're called "Lazarus species" — creatures that have disappeared, sometimes for millions of years, only to miraculously be rediscovered again in modern times. Just as Lazarus was raised from the dead by Jesus in the Gospel of John, so these species manage to survive. Their rediscoveries are a bewildering reminder that when given a chance, life finds a way to survive. Here's a short list of 13 animals long-feared extinct that, in fact, have been rediscovered. (Text: Bryan Nelson)
