Linfen, China probably looks like London did in the 19th century. London in the 19th century with its fog/smog was celebrated in literature at the dawn of the industrial age.

anyone who doesn't think this is about overpopulation is living in a dream world. i don't care how many people are too many for you. eventually there will be nothing. we have to reduce the population now. have one child only. when you have only one, you take more care of that child. i have one. he is rich and successful.

In my opinion one child is too many today. The minute you bring a life into this world the consumption starts. How can you be sure that the life you bring will not bring many more given the chance. People need to stop breeding all together and give the poor planet a chance to heal. We are headed toward total extinction of all species if we cannot stop stroking our egos with our "little miracles" Peace to all who choose not to breed!!

your an idiot. if people stop having babies. then thats when humans will go extinct. i agreee people maybe shouldnt have more then a few kids and some opinions will say no more then one. but if u think noone should have kids, your living in a dream world where that doesnt even make sense.

The world would be a much nicer, cleaner, happier, healthier, more peaceful place without the human parasites that are choking the life and landscape. Humans do not need to survive if this is how we treat the life giving planet. We do not own it nor do we have any entitlement. We are guest here for a very short time. Breeding is a selfish act that has somehow become a trend and will only harm us in the long run. I challenge any one to name a reason for breeding that is not ego driven. If you.... More

They should really try to control the number of vehicles on the road and lessen this tremendous carbon emission.

@ALL THE COMPLAINERS: If your not doing anything to change it, then shut up.
@THE ANTI COMPLAINERS: Your just as bad, if your not doing something, then shut up.

If you are doing something, report it so others can get involved.

GENERAL: I am an AMERICAN and love the earth more than the IDIOTS in it. I Have seen the world, like unto that china smog picture, and worse in visions and dreams. Anything not good for the enviroment should be, without question, annihilated, including.... More

Really though, it's become a refuge for wildlife and shows amazing recovery of biodiversity.

Other than some of the central areas, it's relatively safe now.

Linfen, China

Linfen has more air pollution than any other city in the world. Sitting at the heart of China's coal belt, smog and soot from industrial pollutants and automobiles blacken the air at all hours. It is said that if you hang your laundry here, it will turn black before it dries.
