We already have poison ending up in our food.

Most farms in the U.S.A. are owned by foreign companies. We currently have no way of regulating toxicity of pesticides, and no way of knowing which ones are on our food. Our own soil and water are being poisoned but as long as foreign companies are paying off our debt, our leader don't

You have been terribly misinformed. Most farms in the USA are owned and operated by Americans. Foreign farms do not receive the same subsidies, or any subsidy at all, as American farms do in the USA. What I see is politicians and irresponsible, greedy farm owners seeking scape goats for their own misdeeds.

No one reads anything that is in all caps. All caps alerts people to run away from the post because all it shows is immaturity/someone who does everything only to get attention. I know it's for a good cause, but still, do it in a less obnoxious way and maybe people'll wanna help

The american gov't should locate all selfish, egoistic, capitalistic companies
into these sites, and let them try to make money there. When they have dollars but no food they may think again!! The ones who have created these places should now live there, cruel but eyeopening, and possibly life-changing.

We need to REGULATE CORPORATIONS and the MULTINATIONALS also. There need to be WORLD-WIDE ENFORCEABLE International laws on polluting; and a body to ENFORCE them. As it is now, Corporations under fire simply go elsewhere where laws are more lax, and continue their dirty work of pollution.

I knew that we were a world of irresponsible polluters, but I am horrified to find out that it is worse than I already knew. I am so depressed for our earth! I hope we can really do something to change the damage we are still creating every second.

I wonder if people of all nations realize that the toxic waste dumped into the ground and water ecosystems will end up in our food chain.

Riachuelo Basin, Argentina

The Riachuelo Basin is a waterway whose name is synonymous with pollution. More than 3,500 factories operate along the banks of the river, a landscape that also includes 13 slums, numerous illegal sewage pipes running directly into the river, and 42 open garbage dumps.
