Karen is correct. Less protein is better.

She's right. The idea that people need huge amounts of protein, only obtainable from meat, is incorrect.

Read the book "Fast Food Nation" for information about the supply of meat. Any one hamburger maybe composed of scraps of meat from several nations.

How many cows a year does McDonald's kill?

It takes about 10 Million cows a year to supply McDonald's with the necessary meat to feed their customers.

They are not getting any support from me.

Do you even know why?

The answer is McDonalds, Burger King and all the other places that serve mass beef. They went to the Amazon and offered those starving poor people a lot of money to cut down the forests and raise cattle. Little did the residents know that then the land would degrade and no longer support their very lives. Humans only need protein once or twice a week. Cut your own consumption.

Rondônia, Brazil

Rondônia is a state in northwest Brazil which, along with the states of Mato Grosso and Pará, is one of the most deforested regions of the Amazon rain forest. Thousands of acres of forest have been slashed and burned here, mostly to make room for cattle ranching.
