Grand Canyon National Park

If you like adrenaline sports that will also get you in the water, you’re probably already into rafting, and one of the best places to test your mettle against some serious freshwater challenges is the Colorado River and its tributaries in Grand Canyon National Park. Lower Canyon trips offer the most exciting and challenging whitewater, but both sections of the river offer some amazing views and interesting side trips to check out waterfalls, petroglyphs and geological wonders, so a multiday rafting trip will not only challenge your skills — mentally and physically — but also show you parts of the canyon that not many people get to see.
