The best waterfalls in our national parks

Waterfalls are not only a great destination for a summertime hike, since the areas around them tend to be cooler during hot days, but they are meditative as well. Standing near thousands of gallons running over a precipice and crashing below reminds us of the power, as well as the beauty, of the natural world. Kids always love a good waterfall, but adults aren’t immune to its powers either, and they tend to be some of the most popular destinations in our national parks. Here are seven of our favorites.
